Footage and information of a local marijuana bust that occurred on September 9, 2009. I personally know the man and his family who were busted. See more information on the operation here: davidkretzmann.com www.theunion.com “Details began to emerge Thursday in the multi-agency drug raid in the San Juan Ridge area Wednesday morning. Almost 200 law enforcement officers and agents raided nine locations on property belonging to Charles Miller Hilkey Jr., 55. According to a federal complaint, Hilkey allegedly was growing large quantities of marijuana on multiple parcels on Sages, Badger Hill, Patterson Mine, Hoyt Crossing and Tyler-Foote Crossing roads. Wednesday, nearly two dozen people were detained at the various sites and interviewed. Authorities spent the day cutting down marijuana plants and hauling away documents in a U-Haul truck rented for the occasion. Over the course of the day, 602 marijuana plants and 135 pounds of processed marijuana were removed, said Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal. Investigators also recovered 0000 in cash, he said. The number of plants recovered might seem small, especially compared to a recent bust in Penn Valley that netted 8000 marijuana plants and already-processed marijuana with an estimated net weight of about 500 pounds. But there was no comparison, according to Undersheriff Richard Kimball. The marijuana plants destroyed on the Ridge yesterday were huge … They were very well-taken care of, some of them were like trees, 6 feet …

Thank you for posting this. We are at a crucial point in history where if we don’t pay attention to our government we will inevitably end up like all other civilizations. We will live as slaves to their rules. Our government works for us if we are in fact a true democracy. There is no constitutional authority for the federal government to be involved. Keep your eyes open and your ear to the ground. Peace

DavidKretzmann: “…this bogus law has been around for years and created more crime than its prevented.”
Criminalizing anything tends to create a black-market. And in that sense I agree with your perspective, yet the law is the law. Although I do believe the nation may be moving away from the banning of growing pot in large quantities which, if tightly regulated, could be controlled much like cigarettes are today.
When you compare the criminalization of marijuana to Prohibition, why did we need a constitutional amendment for Prohibition of alcohol but with marijuana and the DEA we just needed a simple act from Congress or Executive Order from the President? There was no medical support of criminalizing marijuana in the 1930′s: it was largely a racist campaign against blacks and Mexicans.
I’m not anti-law enforcement, but this bogus law has been around for years and created more crime than its prevented.
DavidKretzmann: “There is… no constitutional authority for the federal government to be this involved.”
Well YOU may not think so but the Supreme Court in Gonzales vs. Raich (2005) upheld the Constitutionality of regulating marijuana, under the Commerce Clause. Given that, it’s going to be some time before the Court will be willing to hear arguments on the subject again.
Consequently I “wholeheartedly” support law enforcement efforts, when pot is grown on federally managed lands.
He should have purchased gold instead of depositing any money into any bank. Fuck the banks, fuck the US federal government, fuck any government.
You are so beyond the majority of Americans unfortunately. We need to all move to a state and take it over and succeed from this rotten oppressive country. I am moving to Mexico because believe it or not it is freer and less oppressive in many ways from our own even with all its corruption.
fuck pigs. Let’s overthrow the government, we clearly don’t need it anymore.
Here here!
Yes, wholeheartedly. There is no medical support to criminalize it, no constitutional authority for the federal government to be this involved, and it is putting nonviolent individuals into taxpayer-provided prisons. Freedom means having the freedom to make both smart and stupid decisions, and it is not the role of government to get involved in those decisions so long as we are not infringing on the freedoms of others.
David: lemme ask..? Do you advocate the legalization of weed?
The government wouldn’t of let him slide if he was paying his taxes. There are those that deal dumb and those that deal smart.
